Children’s Day Celebration at The Pumpkin Patch Montessori Preschool

Children’s Day at The Pumpkin Patch School was celebrated with joy, colour, and creativity—just the way Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, fondly remembered as Chacha Nehru, envisioned childhood to be.

The highlight of the morning was a little one, Mahadev, dressed adorably as Chacha Nehru, complete with a crisp white kurta and the signature red rose tucked neatly into the buttonhole. His bright smile and confident walk instantly brought the spirit of Nehru alive and set the tone for the celebrations ahead.

The classrooms buzzed with excitement as the children got busy crafting greeting cards dedicated to the occasion. Every card was a reflection of a child’s imagination—colourful drawings, heartfelt messages, and charming little doodles. These creations were proudly displayed on the activity wall, turning it into a beautiful gallery of their love for the day.

The celebrations continued with a series of fun games and playful activities, designed to make every child feel included and joyful. Laughter echoed through the school as kids enjoyed relay races, circle games, interactive play sessions, and free-expression time—true to the Montessori spirit of learning through movement and exploration.

As a befitting tribute to India’s first Prime Minister on his birth anniversary, teachers shared simple stories about Nehru’s affection for children, helping the little ones understand why this day is celebrated so fondly across the country.

The festivities concluded on a sweet note with the distribution of sweets, much to the delight of the children. Their happy faces and excited chatter summed up the essence of the celebration—joy, innocence, and togetherness.

At The Pumpkin Patch School, Children’s Day 2025 was not just an event, but a reminder of the boundless wonder and promise that every child carries within.
